Are you "Winking" or "Blinking"?

Since so much of our day is spent in front of some type of screen, we do not blink enough and this leads to the sensation of dryness and burning. Concentrate on blinking, keep a bottle of artificial tears on hand and take frequent breaks by looking out a window or at a beautiful picture.

Remember you must always protect your eyes. 

Sunglasses and sports goggles

     Everyone, including children of all ages, should wear UV coated sunglasses when spending a lot of time outdoors. Even on cloudy days. Sun exposure, over time, can lead to cataract formation and macular degeneration. Think of sunglasses as suntan lotion for the eyes. Sports goggles (with or without one's prescription) are very useful when swimming and playing contact sports for everyone.
